This gas station loan calculator from Cliffbank Lenders, a small-business funding service in Merced, California, estimates the monthly payment, total interest and total repaid on an amortizing loan from the amount, annual rate and term you enter. It works for any business term loan, including a station purchase or equipment upgrade. Results are arithmetic, not quotes; partners set terms.
What the calculator does
It treats the loan as a standard amortizing loan: equal monthly payments that cover interest and principal until the balance reaches zero. From your three inputs it shows the monthly payment, the total interest over the term and the total repaid. It does not add fees, a down payment, a balloon payment or anything a specific partner might include.
Using it for a gas station loan
Gas station loans for a purchase, a remodel or new dispensers can be term loans or equipment agreements. Enter the amount you expect to borrow, an illustrative rate and the term you are considering, then compare the payment with what the station's fuel and store margins leave each month after payroll, card fees and rent.
Illustration only: $85,000 over 72 months at an illustrative 11 percent works out to a payment of about $1,618 a month, roughly $31,500 in total interest and about $116,500 repaid. Change the term to 48 months and the payment rises to about $2,197 while total interest falls to roughly $20,500.
Other uses: business and commercial loan payments
The same math applies to any business loan payment, commercial loan payment or repayment estimate on a fixed schedule. For a term loan comparison, run each offer's amount, rate and term and compare the totals. For an equipment loan, enter the financed amount after any down payment yourself; the calculator does not subtract it.
What it cannot do
- It does not quote rates or terms; partners set those after review
- It does not include origination or other fees; add them to the total by hand
- It does not model a balloon payment; an equipment finance calculator with a balloon needs a different formula
- It does not apply to merchant cash advances, which use a factor and a holdback, not a rate and a term
